BeautiControl Success Stories
Building Success by Growing Others
Embracing change and challenges, three women have moved to new heights.
It is often said that change is necessary for growth and development. In 2009, three women embraced the opportunities that change presents and helped others find ways to turn their dreams into reality. In the process, they became Independent National Executive Directors by representing BeautiControl and their Regeneration repair products. Katia Caban, Lynda Alexander and Natalie Sanesh have reached new heights in their careers. Each one takes great pride in connecting with their teams and helping other women achieve their own dreams. We recently spoke to these confi dent women to learn what being a National Executive Director means to them.
BC: What does becoming a National Executive Director mean to you?
Natalie: I’ve always believed you have to lead by example. So I’m always pushing myself to achieve the next level of leadership so that I can show a clear path for others to follow. At a time like this, when the economy is in transition, I thought it was very important that the team could lead the way and show growth. We proved you just need to keep working your business and keep going even if times seem tough.
Lynda: It’s a huge accomplishment, but I didn’t do it alone. I feel a lot of pride, not for myself but in the goals my entire team has reached. You don’t start out as a director thinking you’ll become a National or Senior National Executive. You just keep sharing and you look up and that’s where the journey has taken you. It all happens because you build a great team and help them grow.
Katia: It has been more rewarding than I ever imagined. Four years ago when I began, I wasn’t looking to do it as a business, but now I can’t imagine doing anything else. I’m connecting with others, growing in relationships and leadership skills. So I can help the most possible people. It has been amazing. I’m in love with my team, and I’m so proud of each person that becomes a Consultant.
BC: When did empowering the women on your team become the focus of your success?
Natalie: I’ve always thought of it as a team effort. I’ve done other businesses, and I’ve learned that you can’t do everything personally. You have to trust and build your team. If I go do one spa every day, there’s only so much I can sell, and only so many people I can recruit. As a team, if I can show 10 or 20 or 4,000 people how to do it, that’s so much more powerful. Imagine how much we can achieve with 4,000 spas a day!
Lynda: It started when I became a Director. To become a director you have to focus on your dreams. Once you’re a Director, you have to focus on the dreams of others. When you help enough people reach for their dreams, you’ll achieve yours. Any time I feel like I’m off track, I call my team and put the focus back on them and the momentum gets started again. That’s how you build relationships with other women.
Katia: When I became a Director, I made the decision that BeautiControl is my Ministry. I’m earning a Masters in Divinity because of BeautiControl. With the freedom that BeautiControl provides, I know I can fulfill my purpose in life to connect with and help others. I can do that in my career. I’m passionate about the opportunity, about changing lives. We can show people they can achieve anything they want.
BC: What’s the one piece of advice you give to everyone who wants to achieve everything you have?
Natalie: The best advice I have is simple. Work consistently. Believe in yourself. Have faith in the choices you make, and be accountable for each decision. That will help achieve more as you focus on what is best for others. When you do that, you build relationships, which is important because the grass isn’t always greener on the other side; the grass is greener where you water it!
Lynda: I tell everyone that if I can achieve reach this level, then anyone can. You have to work consistently, have passion, and love what you do. This is the most rewarding career ever, but you have to be consistent. It’s easy to work consistently when you have a passion for it and a love for it, and want to share it with everyone. Women will want to follow you. They will say to themselves, “I want that in my life.”
Katia: Connect with people. Knowing and understanding where a person comes from is crucial to helping them get where they want to go. And then I make sure they know that you can never forget during the fog what you’ve learned in the light. I tell my team that their dreams are the blueprint that God has put in their hearts. And BeautiControl gives them the tools to build those dreams.
National Executive Directors Live Incredible Lives.
National Executive Directors have helped at least 6 Consultants become Directors, 4 of whom have achieved the level of Senior Director. They earn an annualized (average annual) income of $97,000 which is similar to an architect, mortgage loan manager, nursing director or pharmacist. Additionally, National Executive Directors earn trips, jewelry, breathtaking recognition and cash bonuses. They also have the option in the U.S. of driving a luxury automobile such as a Mercedes- Benz with no payments.
As they have helped their teams reach their goals, National Executive Directors like Natalie, Lynda and Katia have achieved incredible success. You can achieve the same things. Natalie, Lynda and Katia would be the first ones to tell you so.
